Frazer and Jones has multiple openings available to support our foundry operations. We are seeking general laborers to support the business on 2nd shift. This role will learn various operational roles in the foundry and offers room for growth into other positions.
2nd Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Monday through Friday. Additional $0.45 / hour differential.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of either the shift foreman or Foundry Manager, the laborer will perform a variety of tasks that include assisting with extra workload, covering absences or vacations, and supplementing the crew to meet production needs. This position requires working with manual dexterity, the ability to operate machinery and equipment, and has exposure to varying conditions from hot and cold weather, loud noises and/or dust among other irritants in the plant.
Essential Job Functions:
Education:
High School Diploma, GED and/or the ability to understand written and spoken fundamental English.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, simple drawings, procedure manuals and internal method sheets.
