West Holt Medical Services in Atkinson is hiring an Administrative Associate to join our business office staff! This position will specialize in customer service, helping to admit patients and ensuring proper patient flow in person and within the electronic medical record. Office duties will include answering calls, distributing faxes and mail to appropriate departments, assisting with insurance and payment processing and other duties as assigned. This position will handle confidential information on a daily basis, so a high degree of professionalism and integrity is required.

Education: Graduate of accredited high school or equivalent, one or two years of college preferred.

Experience: Business office and health insurance experience preferred but not required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy practices.
• Need excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Business Suite
• Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions
• Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding authorizations for treatment and different forms of insurance.
• Perform complete patient registration for all areas of the facility, including both Primary and Secondary registration functions.
• Perform proper patient Identification procedures including two methods of identification verification for patients both in person and over the phone.
• Utilize the electronic medical records system and communication with other departments to acknowledge existing orders for the services the patient is requesting.
• Interview patients or their representatives to obtain and confirm personal information, insurance other needed information upon admission and ensure information is correctly entered into electronic medical record.
• Other duties as assigned
