Torch Technologies is seeking a multidisciplinary scientist or engineer to participate in the active development and testing of advanced algorithms for multi-object detection, tracking, and trajectory state estimation from remote sensing measurements. Direct experience implementing data fusion algorithms, tracking filters (Kalman, EKF, UKF, particle) and working with Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) systems is required. Experience with multiple programming languages (Java, C , C#, Python, MATLAB), image processing, classification/discrimination, and closed-loop optical tracking is highly preferred. Experience with sensor registration, characterization and modeling, and processing sensor measurements is required.
A successful candidate will possess an understanding and background in at least four of the following areas:
A well-suited candidate will be self-motivated, with demonstrated communication skills (oral and written), and be capable of working both in a small team and unsupervised.
An advanced degree in Engineering/Physics with 8-10 years of experience is required.
United States citizenship is required. Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final Department of Defense security clearance. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. Position may require travel.
