Fraud Detection Supervisor supervises fraud detection associates in their effort to detect possible customer fraud. Leads cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Detection Supervisor researches, documents, and implements best practices in the industry with regard to fraud detection. Leads the most challenging and complex fraud investigations. Additionally, Fraud Detection Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fraud Detection Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     As a Customer Service Fraud Investigator, your focus is applying fact-finding methods to investigate potential fraudulent activity. You’ll seek to achieve the optimal balance between customer experience and fraud prevention through interaction with callers. It’ll be a highly collaborative team environment, colleagues supporting customers as well as each other!

    • Evaluating and processing identity theft and customer validation claims 
    • Assisting team leaders with escalated issues 
    • Identifying and presenting opportunities for improved operational procedures 
    • Working on a wide variety of investigations 

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM 

     

    Required Qualifications 

    • Experience: Fraud training: 3 years, Resolving difficult and escalated issues: 3 years 
    • Education: High school diploma or GED 
    • Technical Skills: Knowledge of cable/telecom operations, detection and analysis, and laws/regulations related to fraud and risk management  
    • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication with coworkers and customers  
    • Schedule: Some travel required   

    Preferred Qualifications 

    • Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables and limited standardization  
    • Extensive knowledge of billing cycles and cross divisional procedures 
    • Effective organization and time management when multitasking
