Fraud Detection Supervisor supervises fraud detection associates in their effort to detect possible customer fraud. Leads cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Detection Supervisor researches, documents, and implements best practices in the industry with regard to fraud detection. Leads the most challenging and complex fraud investigations. Additionally, Fraud Detection Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fraud Detection Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Job Description

    This position provides technical assistance to management and Technical Project Managers in request management, project prioritization, resource allocation, and regular portfolio reviews. Serve as a liaison between DTMB and the client concerning requests, standards, and other program and project matters. Assists with research, collection, and evaluation of project data necessary to meet project reporting and evaluation requirements. Provides assistance on special projects. Promotes compliance with the State Unified Information Technology Environment (SUITE).

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


    • Experience with a project management tool such as MS Project is highly desired.
    • Thorough knowledge of project management tools, practices, and methodologies.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, (including facilitation) utilizing multiple media.
    • Ability to provide leadership to and work effectively with a wide variety of people.
    • Experience in software development and configuration management.
    Candidates selected for this position must complete the Michigan State Police background check. This extensive background check requires fingerprinting for state and federal criminal background records. The background search will include, but is not limited to arrests, criminal charges, criminal convictions, and any information regarding contact with a criminal justice agency.

    IT Signing Bonus Language
    This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

    Possession of a bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

    Alternate Education and Experience

    Information Technology Project Coordinator P11 - 12
    Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics; and, two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, project coordinator (IT technical project), or information technology technician, or two years (4160 hours) of experience an an Information Technology Student Assistant, may be substituted for the education requirement.

    OR

    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, IT project coordinator (IT technical project), or information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.
