Fraud Investigation Officer investigates fraudulent/illegal activities perpetrated by customers or employees. Designs and implements programs to prevent such activities and to recover any incurred losses. Being a Fraud Investigation Officer works with local, state and federal authorities with matters relating to fraudulent/illegal activities. Require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Fraud Investigation Officer typically reports to a manager. To be a Fraud Investigation Officer typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. POSITION INTRODUCTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Administration, the Fiscal Officer maintains the accounting system using accounting software and Excel. Process deposits for the agency within the timely deposit guidelines. Process payroll, travel and invoices submitted to the fiscal office, in compliance with ORC budgetary laws and regulations as well as RCHD fiscal policy. Utilize software to track grants, expenses, and assets for inventory. Act as a back-up to Human Resources for reporting and other duties as assigned. Strive to achieve accurate and timely accounting entries and reporting. Assist directors and program coordinators with purchases. Maintain vendor relations. Assists with Vital Statistics and is responsible for maintaining open and appropriate communication between and among agency and the public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and CHARACTERISTICS:
· Associate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent working experience.
· Must have knowledge and experience working in a Microsoft application and spread sheets.
· Experience maintaining information systems (computers and servers) for billing and accounting.
· Data processing experience.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy.
· Ability to pass a B.C.I. Background Check.
· Ability to pass a drug screening.
· Notary Public with a current registration preferred, but not required.
