Fraud Prevention Associate researches and analyzes potential customer fraud cases to identify and prevent future fraud. Reviews and responds to suspected fraudulent service requests and identifies fraudulent transactions using various research methods. Being a Fraud Prevention Associate follows standard procedures to document a loss and prepares a summary and reconciliation. Communicates the status and resolution of the incident to the customer and/or bank. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Associate identifies areas that need increased security procedures or software to protect customer accounts. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fraud Prevention Associate works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Duties
This position will assist the Fire Chief with enforcing fire prevention laws, ordinances and
regulations, and will perform inspections and plan reviews for new and existing commercial,
mercantile, and residential occupancies.
Requirements
Knowledge: Good working knowledge of rules, regulations, codes, and concepts for all aspects
of fire and life safety. Comprehensive technical and practical knowledge of the materials,
methods, and techniques related to fire prevention, notification, and suppression systems.
Skills: Excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with
policies and procedures to accomplish goals and objectives. Must have excellent public
relations skills.
Ability: Ability to plan organize and execute work plans to accomplish goals. Ability to
communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective and
harmonious working relationships with town officials, departments, state agencies, and the
public. Ability to deal with others tactfully, effectively, and maintain positive public relations.
Education
High school diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science or related discipline preferred.
State or national Pro Board Certified Firefighter Level 1 is required; Level 2 is preferred. Fire
Inspector Level 1 is required within one year of hire. Current valid NH driver’s license.
Experience conducting inspections and reviewing building plans. Ability to pass a criminal
background check and a clean motor vehicle record.
Salary Range
$29.89 to $37.33 per hour DOE
