Fraud Prevention Associate researches and analyzes potential customer fraud cases to identify and prevent future fraud. Reviews and responds to suspected fraudulent service requests and identifies fraudulent transactions using various research methods. Being a Fraud Prevention Associate follows standard procedures to document a loss and prepares a summary and reconciliation. Communicates the status and resolution of the incident to the customer and/or bank. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Associate identifies areas that need increased security procedures or software to protect customer accounts. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fraud Prevention Associate works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. CoveCare Center (Formerly known as Putnam Family & Community Services, Inc.,) a private non-profit agency providing mental health and chemical dependency treatment services in Putnam County, NY, has a full-time opening for a Prevention Educator. We are seeking an individual that shares our vision of partnering with individuals, families and the community to foster hope, wellness and recovery.
Position Summary:
The Prevention Educator shall be assigned to work in a school district within Putnam County. The Educator is directly responsible for providing substance abuse and violence prevention education in assigned classes and maintaining a positive relationship with school personnel.

The Prevention Educator reports directly to the Prevention Supervisor, Program Director or designee and works collaboratively with other staff and the school administration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s prepared Qualified Health Professional (QHP)* with two years’ related work experience. Must have basic computer literacy and excellent verbal and written skills. Position requires the ability to travel and use of own car.
*QHP includes Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), Credentialed Problem Gambling Counselor, Certified Teacher, Certified Health Educator, Certified School Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Professional Nurse, Licensed Physician, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and National Board Certified Counselor.
