Fraud Prevention Associate researches and analyzes potential customer fraud cases to identify and prevent future fraud. Reviews and responds to suspected fraudulent service requests and identifies fraudulent transactions using various research methods. Being a Fraud Prevention Associate follows standard procedures to document a loss and prepares a summary and reconciliation. Communicates the status and resolution of the incident to the customer and/or bank. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Associate identifies areas that need increased security procedures or software to protect customer accounts. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fraud Prevention Associate works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Requirements:- BS degree in a human services related field and 1 year experience in substance abuse including the following:
- 2,000 hours in substance abuse prevention
- 100 hours of prevention education training including 4 hours of Prevention specific HIV/Aids education, 6 hours of prevention specific ethics and 4 hours of Managing a Disruptive Audience Behavior and a minimum of 120 hours of supervised practical experience with at least 10 of the following:
- Individual/Peer
- Family
- Community
- School
- Must have a signed code of ethics form with evaluations from supervisors or colleagues
OR- The Prevention Director provides general supervision of the person with a minimum of 2 hours direct supervision each month
