Experience and Knowledge

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required
• Public Relations and networking experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience in progressively responsible positions requiring experience providing trainings, providing presentations, and engaging the community.
• Knowledge and understanding and ability to communicate the dynamics of sexual assault and domestic violence
• Knowledge and understanding of sexual assault advocacy and the role of an advocate
• Crisis Intervention Experience

• Knowledge of Community Resources
• Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
• Multi-tasking and prioritization capabilities
• Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance

Job Related Training Courses & Programs

• Orientation and initial training: 40 hours sexual assault training and DV training

• Forty hours annually of continuing education in service area
• On-going in-service training

• Implementing and complying with applicable program standards and guidelines
• Completing required agency and funder paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Administering surveys indicating the usefulness of the educational activities
• Collecting, reporting and analyzing data and program outcomes

• Planning, creating, and conducting curriculum training sessions
• Planning and facilitating boys to men programming with participating high school coaches
• Coordinating and facilitating girl’s academy

• Responding to disclosures and inquiries by providing support and connecting individuals and families with effective referrals as indicated
• Increasing public awareness about sexual assault and the need for prevention and intervention services within the community
