Fraud Prevention Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraudulent transactions. Develops cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Manager approves and implements recommendations for process and procedure improvements. Reviews and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Manager ensures compliance with all relevant anti-fraud regulations and standards. Creates reports outlining trends, risks, and mitigation strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Fraud Prevention Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Fraud Prevention Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Prevention Coordinator

  • Prevention Coordinator

    Coordinates the development and implementation of events for the region. Provides support to events in surrounding regions. Assists with cultivating relationships with individuals and organizations to further the mission of the organization.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Plan, coordinate and implement all of the SCAN events for the region, which entails:
      • Accurately maintaining event information, including budget information.
      • Accurately maintaining all data associated with events.
      • Coordinating work with external and internal audiences including vendors, volunteers, and staff members.
      • Coordinating delivery & pick-up of materials.
      • Work with Marketing to design and create event marketing materials including, brochures, t-shirts, flyers, signage, programs, etc.
      • Identifies locations, partners, topics needed in each area in the region.
    • Research and develop curriculum and resources for child abuse prevention education topics.
    • Educate the community on child abuse prevention including but not limited to, bullying, internet safety, child abuse and neglect indicators, human trafficking, suicide prevention, and gun safety.
    • Track, analyze, and report survey results and data collected from trainings.
    • Coordinate and conduct agency tours.
    • Develop, coordinate, and execute informational presentations at conferences, speaking engagements, etc.
    • Coordinate educational fairs, health/safety events, and exhibitions as needed to advertise SCAN’s programs and services.
    • Track exposure of agency at area events, speaking engagements, seminars, expo booths, etc.
    • Contribute to and maintain an agency wide community events calendar.
    • Coordinate community involvement opportunities for SCAN employees and the agency mascot, Zoom, including parades, volunteer opportunities, community events, etc.
    • Coordinate, track and distribute SCAN marketing materials.
    • Promote SCAN’s mission and continuously research and develop ideas to engage community in SCAN’s mission and incorporate into events and public interaction.
    • Assist with agency special events and fundraisers.
    • Provide referrals and information about SCAN programs to the public
    • Support Prevention and Intervention programs in the community
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    QUALIFICATIONS (CORE COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)
    • Excellent Communication (Verbal/Written) skills and customer service.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the organization with donors as well as interface with all levels of staff while maintain flexibility, tact, and a positive attitude.

    • Ability to bring high energy and enthusiasm to SCAN projects and events.
    • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop and drive a plan.
    • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Detailed oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and databases.
    • Strength of character, ethics, reliability, and commitment.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and use proper judgment.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and listen.
    • This is largely a sedentary role. Would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop as necessary.
    • This position frequently requires communication with children, teens, and adults and must be able to exchange accurate educational information in these situations.
    • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift tables and chairs, office products, job fair materials and supplies, up to 40 pounds
    • Able to travel regularly.
    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
    • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available between the "core" work
    • hours of 8a.m. to 5p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
    • Evening and weekend hours may be required.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION
    • Bachelor’s degree with three years of job-related experience, preferably in community outreach or public speaking; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
    PREFERRED EDUCATION
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
    • 5 years of job-related experience in prevention, community outreach, public speaking, or teaching
