Leads cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Supervisor regularly reviews the team's work product and makes recommendations as needed. Researches, documents, and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Supervisor analyzes current processes and procedures and makes recommendations to promote more effective operations. Provides training and guidance to new employees. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Fraud Prevention Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. The Idaho Department of Insurance (DOI) is searching for a Fraud Investigator. This role will report directly to the Investigations supervisor in the Consumer Services Bureau. This is a full-time position located in downtown Boise. Some travel and extended working hours may be involved. This role will be supported and trained by the DOI Fraud Investigations unit.

Preferred candidates will have (if you possess any of the following, please reference them in your resume and cover letter): At least two or more years of professional work experience as an insurance adjuster, law enforcement officer, insurance investigator (SIU), paralegal, related occupation, or performing similar work at a high level with minimal supervision. Membership in professional societies such as Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator. Four-year degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice or Administration of Criminal Justice.
