    Role Summary: As a Youth Violence Prevention Counselor reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you'll play a vital role in providing direct counseling to youth, focusing on violence prevention and intervention. This full-time, exempt position offers a dynamic opportunity to develop and implement impactful anti-violence programs.

    FLSA Category: Full-Time, Exempt

    Salary: $50,000 - $58,000

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver individual and group counseling services to youth.
    • Conduct outreach, including educational workshops on topics like dating violence and bystander intervention.
    • Develop and administer anti-violence curricula for youth.
    • Establish partnerships with schools and youth-focused organizations.
    • Lead a Coordinated Community Response team for youth violence prevention.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of YW Strive for Teens.
    • Offer flexible scheduling, including after-school and occasional evening hours, to meet youth needs.
    • Focus on data-driven approaches in service delivery.

    Qualifications:

    • Preferred: Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field, NY State licensure, 2 years of experience, bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency, and 1 year of supervisory experience.
    • Required: Bachelor's degree in social work, NY State licensure, 3 years of relevant experience, strong communication, adaptability, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Maintain current licensure or a valid permit in mental health counseling or social work, fulfilling all New York State continuing education requirements.

    Physical and Other Requirements:

    • Ability to tolerate high noise levels and lift 25 pounds.
    • Frequent bending, sitting, and computer use.
    • Occasional driving for work purposes.
    • Completion of background checks, NYS Traffic Abstract, and employment eligibility verification.
    • Use of personal vehicle for work-related travel.
