SUMMARY

To perform in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related, but not limited, to check-in and checkout of guests which contributes to an overall positive experience. This is a full time, benefits eligible position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Registers and assigns rooms to guest.
• Issues room key and escort instructions to bellhop or directly to guest as appropriate.
• Answer telephone calls concerning hotel, activities and other various information regarding the Resort.
• Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone, email, fax and switchboard.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
• Computes bill, collect payment and make change for guests.
• Make, confirm, and cancel reservations for guests.
• Post charges such as room, food, or activities by hand or machine.
• May make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Needs to have good customer relations skills. A friendly and professional tone and actions are vital. Need to speak clearly and listen carefully. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to l0 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Talking. Hearing.
