Description
Front St. Administrative Services (FSAS) is a female-owned, family-owned business that provides a wide range of capabilities to assist in the operations, bookkeeping, and HR needs of other companies. This is a full-time position eligible for health benefits, 401K with match, holiday, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
Management of Accounting Functions
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable run in an effective and efficient manner. Implementing change when needed.
- Audit petty cash and client funds at all facilities on a quarterly basis.
- Audit monthly financial reports for all companies to ensure proper account coding.
- Schedule and maintain monthly financial meetings with President and Controller.
- Develop monthly budget reports for all facilities. Review with facility managers and executive staff. Develop procedures to help control costs when necessary.
- Assist Controller with Federal, State and County reporting requirements.
- Other general accounting tasks as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall management of accounting staff, including training and review of staff work.
- Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions and counseling when needed.
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree in finance or a related field.
- A minimum of four years experience in bookkeeping or accounting capacity
- Experience working with the social services sector or property management industry preferred.
Language Skills
- Read, speak, and write English well enough to perform all required job duties.
- Ability to write general correspondence and notes.
- Able to present information and answer questions.
Reasoning Ability
- Able to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Competent in dealing with problems involving several variables in different situations.
