Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Collect and update patient information in the electronic records system
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about services offered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a front desk receptionist in a dental office is required
- Proficiency in using dental office management software Dentrix
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
