Fundraising Director directs an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Leads donor stewardship and relations to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Fundraising Director researches and identifies potential corporate or governmental partnerships and grant funding opportunities. Creates collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Fundraising Director uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Fundraising Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Fundraising Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. They love us and we have fun doing the sales. This is not hard core sales. Very enjoyable working with the parents, kids, and friends in the community to help raise funds for their local sports teams. The product sold is a very established, high quality product. The teams and coaches appreciate us being there and like our fundraiser because we make it easy for them and they can earn a substantial amount of money in a single day.
*Our sales are on Saturdays and/or Sunday. This is a perfect opportunity for a professional looking for some extra income or a professional who is retired and looking for extra income and fun on the weekends.
*Sales experience is not necessary, although it would be a plus.
*Candidate needs to be comfortable working with others and making a strong initial impression. A seasoned, trustworthy, experienced, professional is preferred.
