Fundraising Director directs an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Leads donor stewardship and relations to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Fundraising Director researches and identifies potential corporate or governmental partnerships and grant funding opportunities. Creates collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Fundraising Director uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Fundraising Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Montana Rush is looking for a Technical Director in Great Falls, Montana.

    The Technical Director will be accountable for developing, implementing, and supervising player and coaching educational programs. The Technical Director shall provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all players, coaches, and Directors of Coaching (DOCs).

    The Technical Director will oversee the technical aspects of all programs (6U-19U). They will be responsible for designing the curriculum and technical methodology, exemplifying Rush’s mission and values and create a process for and oversee the implementation of the overall Player and Coach Development Pathways. The candidate must work well in a team-environment and will inspire, delegate, and motivate others. As a key leader in the club, they will be looked upon for professionalism, mindfulness, organization, and good communication. The Technical Director will report directly to the Board President.

    An ideal candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with soccer players of all ages, staff, and community coaches. They will thrive in a community club environment and demonstrate a passion for continuous program improvement and leadership. The candidate will have a strong passion to take the club to the next level that aligns with the Club’s strategic goals.

    Responsibilities
    Leadership:
    • Maintain a clear philosophy and pathway to guide all programs, practices, and decision-making
    • Create, oversee, evaluate, and support the development and implementation of a coach development plan for all club coaches.
    • Oversee and assist with coach and lead trainer/assistant DOC recruitment, placement, and evaluation.
    • Assist the Board President in recruiting and retaining desired DOCs and lead trainers/assistant DOCs.
    • Assess, manage, mediate, and resolve team, individual, or operational issues.
    • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships and communication with all parents, coaches, the club committees, and various stakeholders, including other competing clubs, sport associations, and schools.
    • Maintain or increase competitiveness and standing within all of the leagues in which Rush competes in while promoting the enjoyment of the sport for all players.
    • Continue to develop the capacities - technical, tactical, mental, physical, personal abilities of players to reach levels beyond youth in order to maximize the possibility of further opportunities (high school, college, development academy, professional).
    Development Plans
    • Using Rush technical plan, curriculum and methodology create and lead the implementation of Rush goals and values and ensure that the plan is distributed and made available to all coaches and interested parents.
    • Develop and implement a player evaluation process that includes written assessments,
    • feedback to players and parents, and recommendations for individual development.
    • Supervise the player placement process throughout the year, giving coaches, players, and parents a working knowledge of ideal player benchmarks for each stage of development.
    • Design, lead the recruitment, and administer an overall coach development program with the objective of developing various levels of coaching expertise to support all programs, including the development and execution of coaching practicums and training sessions.
    Communication:
    • Develop and maintain a consistent communication process with Rush staff, coaches, parents, and players, establishing relationships and trust at all levels of the game.
    • Create and maintain quality rapport with all staff, coaches, players, and parents, developing trust and reliability in yourself and the club.
    • Assist the club staff to make sure that parents and coaches are informed, prepared and ready for challenges before they occur.
    • Become the voice for Rush’s style of play and sportsmanship through internal communication and constant communication with coaches at all levels.
    • Assist coaches with reschedule challenges and advise teams of prospective tournament opportunities.
    • Assist in the creation of a 12-month club soccer schedule and deadline timetable.
    Professional Development:
    • Actively seek out opportunities to improve, grow and develop as a sports professional.
    Administrative Responsibilities
    • Ensure all coaches have background checks, SafeSport training, Head’s Up Concussion training, and requisite level of coaching certification completed prior to the season.
    • Plan, communicate and implement the club’s player placement process for team selection.
    • During season, respond to all emails and phone messages within a reasonable time
    • Meet the expectations of effective communication set by the Board President. This includes written, verbal, and nonverbal communication.
    • Assist with club registration and player dues collection.
    • Provide updates to website and social media with program announcements and coaching content.
    • Schedule fields and facilities for all practices, games, camps, and events. Provide contracts to Board President for signature and approval.
    • Assist DOCs (or managers) with game schedule changes and communicate with the referee assignor and the Montana Youth Soccer Association.
    • Follow deadlines and directions established by the Board of Directors.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Board President and/or Board of Directors.
    Camps and Clinics
    • Lead the club’s summer, fall pre-season camps, and winter training sessions
    • Assist in planning, recruiting and implementation of all camps and clinics throughout the year
    Coaching
    • This position will not directly coach any seasonal team in the club unless coaches cannot be acquired. This role may also have DOC responsibilities for an age group or gender and work with coaches on coaching education, practice planning and player development.
    Preference will be given to candidates that possess:
    • USSF “B” License or higher
    • USSF Coach Educator (Grassroots and D License Level) License
    • USSF Grassroots Referee Certification
    • 3-5 years of experience in a youth soccer director position.
    • Experience in facilitating player and coach development programming.
    • Experience in developing curriculums and training.
    • Awareness of youth soccer industry trends.
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Proficient with Virtual facilitation platforms, including but not limited to; Zoom, Microsoft Teams
    Compensation:
    Salary range is $55,000 - $58,000 annually and will be determined by qualification and experience of the applicant.
