Fundraising Director directs an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Leads donor stewardship and relations to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Being a Fundraising Director researches and identifies potential corporate or governmental partnerships and grant funding opportunities. Creates collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement. Additionally, Fundraising Director uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Fundraising Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Fundraising Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Qualifications:- Willingness and ability to travel for assignments and work on-site Monday through Friday, including nights and occasional weekends

- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Great storytelling skills and strong public speaking skills
- Keen business sense demonstrated in either a professional or academic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Commitment to supporting volunteer efforts to ensure a positive and purposeful campaign experience utilizing personal connection to mission
- Strong business acumen
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent quantitative analytical skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities Include:- Developing work plans, timetables, and customized materials
- Managing and training groups of volunteers
- Tracking and analyzing fundraising progress
- Coaching key leaders on fundraising best practices
- Providing insight into industry-wide philanthropic trends
