POSITION SUMMARY
The Fundraising Specialist will play a vital part in supporting the mission of Little River Medical Center, Inc. by helping us secure the necessary resources to provide quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial situation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:
- Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to support the financial sustainability of the Little River Medical Center.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, community partners, and local businesses to build a strong network of support.
- Work with LRMC Board members on fundraising committee to assist as needed.
- Identify and pursue various fundraising opportunities, such as grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donations, special events, and online campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Development to create compelling fundraising materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media content, that resonate with our community and inspire philanthropic giving.
- Manage donor databases and ensure accurate and up-to-date records of contributions, acknowledgments, and donor communications.
- Research and stay informed about current trends and best practices in fundraising, incorporating innovative strategies to maximize donor engagement and retention.
- Organize and coordinate fundraising events, including logistics, volunteer recruitment, and donor stewardship activities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and staff to gather information and success stories that showcase the impact of our services, using this content to drive fundraising efforts.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on fundraising progress, financial goals, and donor engagement metrics.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Little River Medical Center, conveying these principles to donors and the community.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Other related duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor cultivation, or sales with a track record of successfully meeting or exceeding financial targets.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, community partners, and volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives that inspire philanthropic support.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies, techniques, and best practices, including grant writing, major gifts, and direct mail campaigns.
- Proficiency in using donor management software and fundraising platforms to track and analyze donor data.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to new challenges.
- A genuine passion for serving the community and improving the well-being of individuals through accessible healthcare.
- Ability to represent Little River Medical Center in a professional and compassionate manner, demonstrating our commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
