Furnace Operator/Tender sets-up, operates, maintains, and controls furnaces to melt metal to specified temperatures. Adjusts controls to regulate the furnace and to maintain specified temperature. Being a Furnace Operator/Tender requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Furnace Operator/Tender relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. We are looking for team players for our Production department who can perform and communicate effectively. Must have the ability to Read, Write, and multi-task efficiently. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, problem-solve, and logical thinking. This place offers a great work environment and steady work plus overtime each day!
Dress Code: Long Pants, T-shirt, and closed to shoes. PPE will be provided!
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
Ability to locate materials
Operate all Furnace equipment safely and in an efficient manner
Document Key production data and report to Supervisor
Monitor material levels and communicate with co-workers.
Report production information to prevent any problems that may arise
Follow safety requirements and procedures
Maintain production level and production quality of all products
Keep work area clean and organized
Must be reliable, dependable, on time!
