Furniture Finisher restores and preserves furniture using variety of hand and power tools. Applies knowledge of fabrics and wood furniture to complete projects. Being a Furniture Finisher may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Furniture Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Job Summary:
The Furniture Technician will assist in all aspects of moves within the campus and fill out all documents associated. Set up and tear down for events throughout the campus. Track furniture inventory use associated with furniture moved and events
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Move Furniture and Etc.. · Prepare and deliver boxes · Prepare and deliver boxes · Inspect furniture and repair in-house when feasible · Move boxes and furniture campus-wide · Occasional moves to other sites and locations · Clean furniture and apply fabric protection · Provide keys (note: Security cuts all keys) · Limited reconditioning of free-standing furniture · Minor modular furniture modifications (relocate shelf units) · Coordinate outside vendors · Scrap obsolete furniture · Oversee work orders and hours report for billing |
