Furniture Finisher jobs in Johnstown, PA
Furniture Finisher restores and preserves furniture using variety of hand and power tools. Applies knowledge of fabrics and wood furniture to complete projects. Being a Furniture Finisher may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Furniture Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: One year of experience in the field is preferred.
- Location: Must be able to work within 20 minutes of Ebensburg with reliable transportation.
- Skills: Attention to detail with taping, sanding, mudding, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, is essential.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly.
- Safety: Knowledge of safe power tool operations is required.
- Tools: Must possess basic hand tools necessary for the job.
- Screening: Able to pass drug screening and background checks.
