Furniture Finisher restores and preserves furniture using variety of hand and power tools. Applies knowledge of fabrics and wood furniture to complete projects. Being a Furniture Finisher may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Furniture Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

    · Levels, smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete, using straight edge, float, machine trowels, and/or power screed (Riders, Laser screeds)

    · Finishes using power trowel; rub and patch concrete to meet quality standards

    · Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project

    · Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment

    · Responsible for observing and complying with all safety policies and guidelines

    · Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    · 3 years concrete finishing experience

    · Commercial construction experience preferred
