Furniture Finisher restores and preserves furniture using variety of hand and power tools. Applies knowledge of fabrics and wood furniture to complete projects. Being a Furniture Finisher may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Furniture Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Pay Rate
$14.65 to $17.50 per hour based on experience
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm and 4:00 pm to 2:30 am
Finisher Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct coatings and painting applications
- Must have industrial blaster/painter experience
- Knowledge of mixing industrial paints, wet film thickness gauge, and dry mil gauge
- Valid Driver’s License and some experience driving a forklift
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time
