Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to concrete construction and maintenance. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Assist with the preparation of concrete surfaces for pouring, including cleaning, leveling, and smoothing
- Set up and dismantle concrete forms, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured
- Pour and spread concrete using hand tools or mechanical equipment
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, pumps, and power trowels
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying finishing techniques
-Apply curing or sealing compounds to protect the surface of the concrete
-Assist with the installation of reinforcing materials such as rebar or wire mesh
-Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in concrete work
- Repair damaged concrete structures or surfaces as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience working with concrete construction is required
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation for concrete work
- Knowledge of various hand tools used in concrete construction
- Understanding of mechanical principles and ability to read schematics
- Experience in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, flooring installation, stucco, or other related fields is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions
