Job Description

The GIS Analyst role with our utility client will be responsible for discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping, finding anomalies in statistical data, developing mapping applications and tools and managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types for LED lighting units in conjunction with Power Delivery and its technology work procedures.

Additionally, the analyst is responsible for designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources, creating “shapefiles” to merge topographical data with external data, converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage, performing data conversion and managing digital library of geographic maps for LED lighting units.

This position provides support for mapping print data for the municipal distribution specialist for the permitting process for all of the client's divisions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• GIS Analyst experience in a utility related field with not placing limitations to just the Energy sector, receptive to those having experience in water, gas, sewer and/or related field that demonstrates experience mapping out services in GIS setting.
• 4 year degree is required
• ArcGIS is required
• ESRI experience
