GIS Analyst jobs in Madison, WI

Culver Franchising System, LLC is looking for an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to provide support and insights that will facilitate the expansion and growth of Culver’s franchise restaurants. This person will maintain operational maps using Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc, (ESRI) software and play a critical role in our market planning efforts.

Essential Functions:

Create, manage and maintain the Geographic Information System (GIS) data approach.
• Manage ownership updates.
• Manage weekly updates of territories approved and expiring.

Be the subject matter expert and systems owner for Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc, (ESRI) software and SiteZeus.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract renewals.
• Recommend and develop GIS mapping and demographic solutions.

Manage ESRI updates to maps providing key inputs to restaurant development.
• Update Operational maps with Franchise Business Consultant updates.
• Maintain latitude and longitude coordinates for locations.
• Maintain address and intersection identifications.
• Assist in the naming process for new locations.

Conduct market planning for new or developing territories.
• Create site maps for special projects as requested by internal stakeholders.
• Provide insight and recommendations regarding territories to develop, real estate location decisions and site approvals.
• Conduct analysis and provide recommendations for planning on how to build-out markets.
• Identify and inform stakeholders on market opportunities and timing.
• Develop and manage long-term market growth plans.

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS/Geography or related field with a focus on retail location analysis, real estate and demographics.
• 3 years experience of related experience in GIS applications and technology and 3 years of practical application of ESRI enterprise software.
• Thorough working knowledge of GIS practices and procedures and Microsoft Windows environment.
• Strong analytical skills and able to interpret technical data and information and communicate outcomes and recommendations to key stakeholders.
