GIS Supervisor manages, plans, assigns, and reviews analysts and developers' work on GIS projects. Oversees the production of reports, maps, applications, and visualizations for internal or external stakeholders. Being a GIS Supervisor ensures proper maintenance, documentation, and cleaning of GIS data. Develops methods to leverage GIS data for new applications. Additionally, GIS Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The GIS Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. This position coordinates with the GIS Administrator to manage and support the Global Information System (GIS) data for the City’s three utilities (Storm Water, Wastewater, and Water). This position will also ensure the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software is appropriately linked to the GIS data to support the operational needs of the Utilities.
