GIS Supervisor jobs in Cuyahoga Falls, OH

Overall: This position assists in developing, updating, analyzing, and managing GIS data for a wide variety of professional services. You'll work closely with internal and external teams to deliver GIS data and services to clients, with a focus on teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with GIS analysis, data development, data collection, and mapping for client projects.
• Create GIS metadata, extract digital features, research land survey records and ownership data.
• Help with map projections and transformations for geospatial projects.
• Create and update GIS maps and map layers.
• Collect, edit, and post-process GPS data for field surveys using ArcGIS.
• Georeference raster and vector data.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and make recommendations to meet business goals, quality standards, and billability.
• Ensure quality of deliverables through QA/QC processes.
• Assist with implementing improved GIS system work methods.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or closely related science field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience utilizing GIS software like ArcGIS.
• Ability to work with various data sources like MS Access and Excel.
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
• Sense of urgency and commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
