GIS Supervisor jobs in Ogden, UT

GIS Supervisor manages, plans, assigns, and reviews analysts and developers' work on GIS projects. Oversees the production of reports, maps, applications, and visualizations for internal or external stakeholders. Being a GIS Supervisor ensures proper maintenance, documentation, and cleaning of GIS data. Develops methods to leverage GIS data for new applications. Additionally, GIS Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The GIS Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a GIS Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary/Basic Function
    Assists with the Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS). Utilizes Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) software to create campus infrastructure maps. Utilizes the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for record keeping.

    As an hourly employee of WSU Facilities Management, a Tuition Reimbursement of $750 will available to those who qualify while the program is active.

    Required Qualifications
    Experience using ESRI ArcGIS desktops products.
    Valid drivers license.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Experience with ArcGIS Server products is desirable but not required.
    Currently enrolled as Weber State student
    GPS experience, and ArcPro experience
