Gas Supply Manager manages the supply and purchase of natural gas to meet company needs. Negotiates contracts with approved sources to maintain adequate supply and ensure favorable terms. Being a Gas Supply Manager forecasts change in prices in order to maintain company fuel investments. Coordinates proper transportation and storage of gas supplies. Additionally, Gas Supply Manager maintains business relationships with suppliers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Gas Supply Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Gas Supply Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What You’ll Do

    As a Training Manager, you will be participating in the creation of training content and providing direction for the Training team. This position is responsible for overseeing the quality development, maintenance, updating and delivery of training content that aligns with the needs of the organization and long-term growth goals.

     

    • Manage processes and expectations for the flow, approval, assignment and completion of training projects.
    • Act as a liaison between the training department and managers submitting training requests.
    • Manage training projects and content development individually and with the team.
    • Exercise excellent judgment, skill and understanding of company direction in the prioritization and communication of training projects.
    • Assure excellent quality controls are in place and managed to keep all training content current.
    • Oversee multiple projects and objectives.
    • Establish priorities and provide direction for the training team to meet project commitments and timelines.
    • Oversee completion and maintenance of Training Tracks for every job position at Rural King.
    • Oversee Rural King’s Learning Management System, The Windmill, to assure it remains engaging and the content is well organized, user friendly and remains updated.
    • Assure the New Hire Orientation remains fresh and relevant with periodic updates.
    • Meet annual training objectives that align with our company’s goals.
    • Identify and partner with external partners for outsourced training and assessments as appropriate to address needs.
    • Create, manage and report out on training performance to objectives and budget.
    • Assure training team has the appropriate skills and resources to be effective in creating training content and serving the training needs of Rural King.
    • Grow the skills and effectiveness of the training team.
    • Use training metrics and associate feedback to measure effectiveness of training and opportunities for improvement.
    • Maintain expertise in training techniques and approaches, utilizing what will maximize our effectiveness in developing the knowledge, skills and abilities of our associates.
    • Ensure all training content released from the training team is aligned with the Rural King culture and values.
    • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
    • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
    • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
    • Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Rural King’s Values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Qualities for Success

     

    • At least 5 years of retail experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proven experience in effectively supervising and leading a diverse team, guiding them toward achieving department goals and objectives.
    • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships.
    • Demonstrate confident and clear communication skills to express thoughts, opinions, and ideas in a respectful manner.
    • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.

     Physical Requirements

     

    • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
    • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
    • Able to navigate and access all facilities.
    • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
    • Close vision for computer-related tasks.
