General Laborer performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, digging, and moving materials. Operates a variety of tools to complete assignments according to internal and external policies and regulations. Being a General Laborer assembles and disassembles machines, tools, and other work-related equipment. Assists engineers and a variety of other functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Additionally, General Laborer may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The General Laborer works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. - The candidate will need to complete a variety of tasks including loading/unloading tools and or materials, site maintenance and other duties as assigned
- Assist in assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment
- Identifying any hazards or damaged tools/materials and immediately notify the supervisor
- Use hand and/or power tools throughout the shift
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with possible Over-Time
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and safely in a construction setting
- Proven work experience in a relevant construction setting-Sheetrock/Drywall experience a PLUS!
- Teamwork skills and excellent communication skills required
- Physical stamina (may be on your feet for 8 hours) is vital for this position which involves lifting and moving heavy loads up to 50 pounds
