Operates a variety of tools to complete assignments according to internal and external policies and regulations. Being a General Laborer assembles and disassembles machines, tools, and other work-related equipment. Assists engineers and a variety of other functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Additionally, General Laborer may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The General Laborer works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Rebar Fabricator Responsibilities:
    • Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
    • Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
    • Operate a shearing machine or a power saw to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths, and a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape.
    • Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
    • Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
    • Operate a spray gun in the application of epoxy touch up or reinforcing steel bars.
    • Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
    • Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer’s orders.
    Rebar Fabricator Qualifications:
    • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
    • Ability to read and comprehend basic safety and operational instructions.
    • Ability to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements.
    • Clear written and communication skills
    • Able to work in all outside weather conditions.
    • Ability to Perform physical labor with no limitations.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs when necessary.
    • Work with a team and be a team player, help with other tasks as needed.
    • Commitment to safety in all aspects of the job.
    • Ability to work overtime.
    • HS Diploma/GED or local/state equivalent
    • Forklift operator certification is a bonus but not required
