General Laborer, Sr. performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, digging, and moving materials. Operates a variety of tools to complete assignments according to internal and external policies and regulations. Being a General Laborer, Sr. assembles and disassembles machines, tools, and other work-related equipment. Assists engineers and a variety of other functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Additionally, General Laborer, Sr. may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The General Laborer, Sr. works under moderate supervision. General labor includes lifting/pulling/ pushing lumber up to 75 lbs in a continual production setting for an established lumber manufacturing facility. Operation of conveyor systems, with start/stop functions. Ability to work in a team oriented, fast paced environment. Ability to learn machine operation and advance is preferred. Prior sawmill experience, forklift experience not required, but a plus.
Responsibilities:
•Lift lumber manually
•Wear appropriate protective equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations

•Learn and use proper lifting techniques at all times

Requirements:
•Must be able to work in an indoor or outside manufacturing for 10 hr shift periods
•Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
•Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
