General Laborer, Sr. jobs in San Diego, CA

WORKING HOURS ARE:

***MONDAY TO FRIDAY FROM 6:30am-3 PM***

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer in our sheet metal shop. As a General Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the shop by performing various tasks related to the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal products. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Operating basic hand tools and equipment under supervision.
• Performing general cleanup and maintenance of the shop floor and equipment.
• Supporting skilled tradespeople with various tasks as needed.
• Following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Assisting with the assembly and packaging of sheet metal products.
• Maintaining inventory and organizing materials as directed.
• Adhering to production schedules and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.85 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
