- Treats residents, employees, and coworkers as customers, providing quality service and assistance.
Duties & Responsibilities - Essential- Completes work orders daily.
- Plumbing, water, heating, sewer, and toilet repairs.
- Painting (neatly).
- Repairs furniture, equipment, locks etc.
- Electrical work on all appliances, (kitchen, washing machines, fans, heaters, etc.), replace light bulbs as needed.
- Assist Housekeepers in moving furniture, rugs, etc.
- Driving assignments as directed.
- Keeps tools and workroom orderly and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assists with resident moves, room preps, table set ups and tear down tables after events are finished.
- Bring all Central Supply orders from garage to Central Supply Room and unloads items from pallets.
- Assist with trash removal and empties cardboard and newspaper bins as needed.
- In summers, sweeps porch and steps and waters shrubs and grass. In winter, assists with shoveling entrances and loading dock. Plows the perimeter of the facility sidewalks as needed.
- Follows the Preventative Maintenance duties as assigned. Performs duties from Maintenance Extra Duty list when time allows.
- Keeps up with assigned sections of rooms including patching walls, painting, ceiling tiles, bumper guards, door seals, and any noticeable repairs.
Duties & Responsibilities - Nonessential- Reports, according to procedure, whenever out of the facility on special assignments.
- Notifies the Personal Care Home Administrator or the Maintenance Supervisor when special workers are on the premises, including architects, boiler inspectors, elevator inspectors, plumbers, etc.
