Under the direction of the Department Manager, Director of Operations and Executive Leadership the Genetic Counselor will assess and counsel individuals and families regarding inherited cancer risk and risk management as well as participate in cancer genetics case conferences, community outreach events, medical staff and consumer education, collaborative research projects, program meetings, and program development.

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling/Clinical Genetics.

• California Genetic Counselor - State of California Genetic Counselors upon hire.

• National Certified Genetic Counselor - American Board of Genetic Counseling upon hire.

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of experience providing genetic counseling and risk assessment.
