Genetics Counselor provides genetic counseling and education to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders. Obtains and analyzes family medical history to identify patients at risk for specific disorders or syndromes. Being a Genetics Counselor recommends genetic testing as warranted and counsels patients on test results, treatment and alternative coping methods. May provide crisis intervention as needed. Additionally, Genetics Counselor requires a master's degree of Genetic Counseling. Typically reports to a manager or director. Requires board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG). Typically requires a state license to practice. We are seeking a Full-Time Customer Service Representative to join our lab! You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues.
*Ability to fluently speak Spanish is a plus
Must be willing to learn about the genetic testing that we offer for birds, dogs, and horses. This includes dog/horse coat color and disorder testing as well as bird disease testing.
Your primary job will be to answer the telephone and directly speak with our customers during our business hours which are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
