PCI Government Services LLC (PCI-GS) is seeking an Environmental Project Geologist to support environmental restoration projects in the Southeast US region - specifically Florida panhandle region.  (Work is at Eglin AFB, Hulbert Field AFB; and Tyndall AFB coming later in the year early 2024.)

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Responsible for supporting site assessments,
• Operate and oversee the maintenance of treatment systems
• Oversee the management of investigation derived waste, sampling of groundwater, soil, sediment and surface water, hydrogeologic analysis, and contaminant fate-and-transport analysis
• Candidate will be responsible for working with multiple clients and contractors in both the commercial and government sector
• Oversee well drilling and operations and monitoring well installations, log soil borings, collect field samples, prepare data quality reports, and communicate with field personnel to achieve field mobilization goals

Qualifications

• Travel may be required up to 25%
• 0 - 5 years of experience preferably in environmental restoration field
• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geologic Engineering; or Environmental Science
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Candidates having passed the Professional Geologist (PG) examination in an Association of State Board of Geology (ASBOG) member state strongly preferred
• 40-hr HAZWOPER trained with updated 8-hr annual refreshers preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Other certifications/licenses are a plus.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good problem solving skills and able to work well independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
• GIS/GPS experience is a plus
• PFAS investigation experience a plus

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment.

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
