Position Overview
Our office in Somerset, NJ is seeking responsible, self-sufficient, energetic Geologists or Scientists to work on projects related to the investigation and environmental remediation of industrial and commercial sites. Candidates should be prepared for professional growth into areas such as assessment of remedial alternatives, management of various investigative and remediation tasks, conceptual plans and regulatory interaction. The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred; Geology, Hydrogeology, Earth Science or related field
• 2-4 years environmental consulting experience
• Ability to produce quality work on budget and on schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with technical writing experience

Preferred

• Knowledge of geologic concepts such as stratigraphy, groundwater flow and geochemistry
• Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques
• Familiarity with drilling and well construction techniques
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Experience with databases, GIS, and/or AutoCAD a plus
• Groundwater modeling experience a plus
• Experience performing Phase 1 inspections a plus

Essential Duties

• Support the office project work and collaborate with technical staff to service clients and complete projects on time and on budget
• Assistance with site investigation, data analysis, and report preparation activities
• Assistance with site remediation system operations and maintenance activities
• Environmental sampling of soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater
• Installing overburden and bedrock monitoring wells using a variety of drilling techniques including but not limited to hollow stem auger, mud rotary, air rotary, and sonic drilling.
• Log soils generated using different drilling techniques in general accordance with the USCS.
• Health and safety monitoring
• Oversight of remediation and construction subcontractors
• Review of field data and preparation of data evaluation reports
• Assistance with budget management as required by the project manager
