    Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil properties, and providing engineering recommendations to support the design and construction of various building and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in geotechnical principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Site Investigation and Characterization: Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, field testing, and geophysical surveys, to assess subsurface conditions and identify geotechnical hazards and constraints.
    • Geotechnical Analysis: Perform geotechnical analysis and interpretation of field and laboratory data to assess slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, lateral earth pressures, and groundwater conditions using industry-standard software and methods.
    • Foundation Design: Provide geotechnical recommendations for foundation design, including shallow and deep foundations, ground improvement techniques, and retaining structures, to ensure structural stability and performance in various soil and rock conditions.
    • Earthwork and Excavation Support: Design earthwork and excavation support systems, such as retaining walls, shoring, and slope stabilization measures, to mitigate geotechnical risks and ensure safe and efficient construction practices.
    • Technical Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, engineering calculations, and design documents summarizing site investigations, analyses, findings, and recommendations for internal review and client submission.
    • Client Interaction and Collaboration: Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, structural engineers, and regulatory agencies, to address geotechnical concerns, provide technical guidance, and facilitate effective project communication and decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
    • Minimum of 8-20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, site investigation, and foundation design.
    • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software.
    • Strong understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principles.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
