As a valuable member of our geotechnical team, you will support our water, environmental, civil, structural, and transportation projects while sitting in our Worcester or Westfield, Massachusetts offices. We offer a hybrid remote work environment and flexible Fridays in the summer.
Our Geotechnical Team and Projects
Our 6-person team focuses on planning, permitting, design, investigation, and construction administration services that address the many challenges of geotechnical and geo-environmental impacts on infrastructure. Our clients consist of state and local governments, real estate developers, universities/colleges, hospitals/care providers, and other commercial and industrial property owners. Our projects include geotechnical analyses and designs for a variety of structures such as wastewater treatment plants, elevated water tanks, roads and bridges, commercial and industrial buildings, major utilities, dams, retaining walls, and seawalls.
What will you be doing?
As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in assisting the geotechnical team in various activities, including subsurface exploration, analysis and design, seepage and slope stability analysis, report and technical specification writing, preparing cost estimates, and record plan creation. Your contributions will help ensure the successful implementation of geotechnical engineering solutions within the project.
What does a Project Engineer need?
Over five years of consulting engineering experience and increasing responsibility in the geotechnical industry. A BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or a related field is required and an MS degree is preferred. Project Engineers will also need a PE license. Geotechnical project engineers work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and construction professionals. The ability to collaborate effectively, contribute to a team environment, and communicate across disciplines is important.

The Project Engineer salaries are determined based on internal equity and market analysis and will vary based on the candidate’s skill and experience; the salary range for this position is $70,000 - $104,000.
