Glass Cutter/Finisher operates automatic equipment that burns, scores, and breaks continuous sheets of glass into specific lengths. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glass Cutter/Finisher may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glass Cutter/Finisher relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Summary:
Prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes by performing the following duties.
· Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
· Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
· Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired.
· Draws finished designs from sketches.
· Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
· Produces complete drawings of glass and aluminum systems, including conceptual, mock-ups, shop, and fabrication drawings.
· Other duties may be assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); B.A. degree in college preferred; and a workings knowledge of Auto cad 14 or latest version.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
A thorough knowledge to read plan and extrapolate information to an in house working drawing.
