Glass Cutter/Finisher operates automatic equipment that burns, scores, and breaks continuous sheets of glass into specific lengths. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glass Cutter/Finisher may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glass Cutter/Finisher relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Duties include shop work such as cutting glass, automotive glass repair and replacement, and general shop labor. Potential to learn other areas of the business such as residential and commercial glass replacement, as well as office duties.
