POSITION SUMMARY

The Glazier Installer is responsible for installing and servicing glass and glazing systems on commercial job sites. The individual will report to the glazing foreman and will be responsible for following the work plans and instructions provided by the foreman. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation of commercial glass and glazing systems, knowledge of various types of glass and frames, and the ability to use tools and equipment required for the installation of glass and glazing systems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and service glass and glazing systems on commercial job sites in various surfaces and settings on Commercial job sites
• Follow work plans and instructions provided by the foreman
• Safely operate all equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, scaffolding, and swing stages.
• Adhere to all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2-3 years of experience in installing commercial glass and glazing systems
• Trained and certified to operate lift equipment, to include scissor lifts, boom lifts, scaffolding, and swing stages
• Knowledge of different types of glass and frames
• Familiar with OSHA requirements, especially those relating to working at heights
• Ability to use tools and equipment required for the installation of glass and glazing systems
• Good communication and team working abilities
• Must be able to lift at least 75lbs and have the physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by job site schedule.
• Regular attendance is required

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma. No degree required

LOCATION:

• Approximately 50% of the work is local in the San Francisco Bay Area and the remaining 50% may be scheduled anywhere on the west coast.

PAY RATE:

• $30-53 per hour, depending on experience
