Government Affairs Director implements strategic plans and oversees engagement objectives to develop and maintain productive relations with all levels of government authorities that will support and enhance the businesses' goals. Manages teams that build relationships and liaise with government entities(federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Being a Government Affairs Director performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Government Affairs Director creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Government Affairs Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Government Affairs Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Your Role as a Provider

    As a clinician, you are an expert in the assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of health conditions for your patients. As an independent contractor with VES, you apply your clinical expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of medical and conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim. As a certified medical disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination assures that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.

    Here is a typical workflow for a provider:

    Exam Request Received > Testing and Exam Schedule > Provider Reviews Records > Veteran Exam Completion > Report Reviewed and Submitted

    Qualifications

    Nurse Practitioner

    • Master’s Degree in Nursing
    • An active and unrestricted license in the state in which exams are performed.
    • Graduate of an accredited program and board certification from ANCC or AANP
    • An agreement for a collaborating or supervising physician, where applicable
    • Two years of work experience as a Nurse Practitioner
