Government Affairs Manager implements strategic plans and oversees engagement objectives to develop and maintain productive relations with all levels of government authorities that will support and enhance the businesses' goals. Manages teams that build relationships and liaise with government entities(federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Being a Government Affairs Manager performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Government Affairs Manager creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Government Affairs Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Government Affairs Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. In response to the market dynamics, we are expanding our implementation team in focus markets by adding Project Managers.

    As a Project Manager on the Client Operations team with PAR Excellence Systems, you will be responsible for working both independently and in a team, contributing to the installation of our weighted bins system in healthcare organizations across the U.S. This automated inventory system, designed specifically for healthcare is comprised of both proprietary software and hardware. The Project Manager is a key member of the Client Operations team and is a critical contributor to our organization and our client’s success. You will be responsible for working with our new clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation projects.

    The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership that is both firm and flexible, a desire to help others succeed, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and has excellent customer service skills and follow up.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee all project activities for assigned clients, including planning, budgeting, and documenting all activities.
    • Contribute to company financial success by ensuring installation projects are completed on time with respect to project plans and forecast.
    • Work with assigned Implementation Managers and Director of Client Implementations to determine resources needed and allocation of resources.
    • Act as primary point of contact for the client during the pre-implementation and implementation phases of projects.
    • Regularly reports progress of projects to both internal stakeholders and customers, and escalates issues as necessary to management team of both organizations.
    • Work with Implementation Managers and/or Implementation Specialists to determine product needs for Installation and to ensure the ordering and staging of the products prior to installation.
    • Work with third party vendors on resources and scheduling as needed.
    • Support all other activities, projects and tasks as deemed necessary by V.P., Client Operations.


    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
    • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Visio and other Windows-based programs
    • Excellent oral and written communication
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Extensive travel required may be required


    Required Education, Credentials and Experience

    • Four-year degree
    • MBA a plus
    • 3-5 years of supply chain experience a plus
    • Project Management Certification Preferred
    • 3-5 years’ experience in project management (preferably in healthcare)
