Experienced Grounds Maintenance Project Manager to maintain Nashville National Cemetery as a working manager leading up to 10 employees. Project Manager fulfills contract requirements and goals by performing maintenance duties, overseeing operational needs for supplies and equipment, providing strategic direction and oversight, and managing grounds employees to achieve desired results. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure that grounds staff can safely and effectively complete their job duties. Contract duties include but are not limited to mowing using walking type or riding lawnmowers over 2000lbs, trimming, edging, seasonal cleanup, mulching, landscape enhancements, etc.

Mandatory Job Requirements:

• 5 years of experience as a direct supervisor of grounds maintenance operations that included mowing, trimming, edging, and cleanup in industrial, commercial, or public sites.
• Microsoft Office Suite- Outlook, Word, ExCel
• Experience in the operation of all equipment related to grounds maintenance contract requirements including Heavy Equipment
• Must be able to qualify and maintain the appropriate base background/access screening
• Exposure to outside elements
• Must comply with company policies, OSHA, NEC, and base safety
• Required to safely lift in excess of 75lbs.
• Required to understand and follow oral and written directions in English
• Required valid state’s driver’s license/CDL endorsement is not required but useful
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
