Being a Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator

Position Overview
The Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator is required to excavate, move, grade, and/or compact earth under general supervision of a Field Foreman in a safe, effective, and appropriate manner. Routine maintenance and repair to equipment in addition to other duties are also required. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, scrapers, dozers, graders, compactors, snowblowers and other pieces of equipment. The Scraper-Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean and ensure all equipment is in proper condition.
Martin Construction Inc. uses CAT Models and will be expected to operate 627's, 637's and 657's.
